SIMON CHARITY is set to make his long-awaited return to the Chippenham Town starting line-up when the Bluebirds travel to Tiverton in the fourth round of the Dr Martens Cup tonight.
The 28-year-old is likely to be handed the right wing-back role, with previous incumbent Michael Green currently on trial at Cardiff City.
Charity, Chippenham's longest serving player, has yet to start a game under Steve White's stewardship after an injury-hit first half of the season.
But he will be given his chance to shine again this evening.
"I like what I've seen of the boy in training," said White.
"He's got a very professional attitude and he's a clever player.
"He will be given his chance and it's up to him to show us what he can do."
White is unlikely to make any other changes following his side's 2-1 win at Eastbourne on Saturday.
The Bluebirds make the trip to Ladysmead for the second time in three weeks, having lost 3-1 in a league meeting on New Year's Day.
The two sides also met in this competition last season, with Chippenham winning 3-2. Corsham entertain Welton Rovers in the second round of the Les Phillips Cup.
Meanwhile, Nobby Bush's side will host Calne in the quarter-finals of the Wiltshire Senior Cup.
In the three other ties, Trowbridge face Bradford, Shrewton travel to Westbury and Pewsey will meet Downton or Bemerton.
CALNE went out of the Les Phillips Cup when they were beaten 2-1 by Melksham in a second round tie last night.
Tom Pang and debutant Neil Thomas scored for Melksham while James Lye replied for Calne Town.
