A Swindon cancer charity is kicking off its 20th year with a series of fundraising events.
CALM, the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Movement, hopes to provide fun and entertainment while raising money to fund its services.
On February 20 a bingo evening will be held at the Abbey Mead pub, in Elstree Way, followed the next day by a 12-hour darts marathon, disco, raffle and sponsored chest wax.
And, on February 22, a quiz night will be held in the same pub.
The fundraising continues the following week when the Greenbridge Pub is set to host a race night on February 28 at 7.30pm.
On March 6 music lovers will be entertained by the Swindon Young Musicians Consort accompanied by the Immanuel Church Choir, at Immanuel Church, Upham Road, at 7pm.
CALM has been run since 1984 by Swindon families for other Swindon families. The charity is currently helping 18 children undergoing treatment for cancer or leukaemia.
CALM chairman Don Macarthur said: "We are very grateful to all involved in helping us arrange this attractive programme of events.
"Our success over the past 20 years owes a lot to the generosity and imagination of local people and businesses in supporting our work.
"It's encouraging at the start of our anniversary year to see evidence that this record will continue."
