DEVIZES Junior Eisteddfod is under threat as the majority of its organisers prepare to resign at the end of the month.
This festival has been a springboard for many talented youngsters who have gone on to make a career out of music. Countless others have gained enormous satisfaction and joy out of performing at the event in front of appreciative friends and family.
Of course there are a number of other outlets for musical talent in the county but the Eisteddfod with its blend on concert and competition is a fantastic showcase for our youngsters.
It would be a huge shame if the 2003 Eisteddfod turned out to be the last. It is far too an important an event to be allowed to sink without trace.
