Villagers in Colerne will get a Japanese perspective on life in their rural community when a programme made about the village is screened in the village hall on Saturday night.
Around 120 people are expected to attend the event and organisers anticipate it will be so popular they will have to put on a second showing.
Parish council chairman Dick Tonge said he had already seen the film, which screened in Japan in November
"It's very good and has lots of features and characters from the village," he said.
The programme was made by NHK, the Japanese equivalent of the BBC, and is called Quality of Life.
Of course the documentary is in Japanese so Yumiko Tivers, who translated for the television crew, will go along to the village hall to explain to the audience what is going on in the programme.
The filming took place over two weeks in October when Colerne was being judged in the Calor Village of the Year contest.
The Japanese were impressed by the community spirit in the village, and the number of voluntary groups and activities.
