Ruth Pain, editor of the parish magazine The Crudwell Courier, is seeking help finding clues to bring a 100-year-old poster to life.
It heralds a programme of musical entertainment that was held in the schoolroom on Tuesday January 5, 1904 and Mrs Pain is hoping to gather information on the performers who went through their paces that night.
Paying the princely sum of one shilling (5p) for a front seat or six pennies (2.5p) for second seats, guests could watch nine performers accompanying organisers, the village singing group Glee Glass.
Among them were Miss Poppy Butcher who performed a pianoforte solo, Miss Doris Adkin with a violin solo and Mr J Hinder who sang the Mulligan Guards.
Mrs Pain, who has been editor of The Courier for the last five years, said: "It is quite unusual to find a document of this age.
"We haven't had anyone come back to us with any information and we are trying to find anyone who knows any of the names on the list."
The poster was found among a pile of documents in the village, Mrs Pain said, and added she was intrigued to see if they could find out any more information about the poster because the Courier celebrates its 18th anniversary next month.
Mrs Pain added: "Obviously there won't be many people who can think back that far but hopefully we may be able to strike a chord with someone."
Anyone who has information about the poster should phone Mrs Pain on (01666) 577549.
