A WINE business set up last year in a garage by a man who had been made redundant is moving to bigger premises.
Simon Thomson, 42, of Kings Meadow, Crudwell, set up Crudwell Wines despite little knowledge of the wine trade.
But now the business is to move to a 120 square-metre unit at Eastcourt Farm.
Mr Thomson used his redundancy money from Cellular Operations in Swindon, to start the business.
A course with the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust helped, but Mr Thomson said it had been a difficult year.
He said: "It was a really steep learning curve.
"It has been a hard and challenging year I knew it would be. I am certainly not wealthy but I hope to make some money this year."
The company stocks 150 wines.
