WEST Tytherley A are the first team through to the semi-finals of the Wessex Cup, following an emphatic win over Cyclones.
Cyclones' two point handicap as well as having only one 'hand' on service, made the task harder against their Division One rivals, although Tyther-ley's 8-1 margin meant Jason Ed-meades, John Lapham, Ken Isaacs and Pat Barretto all survived unbeaten.
In the semi-final, West Tytherley will be at home to Civil Service B or Avonbridge.
In Division One of the league, Hurricanes have given unbeaten Falcons some catching up to do.
Two further 9-0 wins have opened up a five-point lead for Hurricanes at the top, although the Falcons have three matches in hand.
In all three divisions, Laverstock A are now the only team without a win, after Wilton B broke their duck with a 5-4 success in Division Two, over fellow strugglers, West Tytherley B. Wins with all three partners by Sharon Nellis were crucial to Wilton's success.
Stonehenge A's imperious domination of the Men's League continues. Victory against Laverstock was their seventh, and they have still only dropped a solitary set.
