CYCLISTS are being invited to give their views at the first of a series of forums run by Wiltshire County Council.
The cycle liaison panel will give cyclists from across Wiltshire, an opportunity to voice their opinion on improvements they think would make cycling easier, safer and more enjoyable.
The county council will be running the meetings at North Wiltshire District Council's office at Monkton Park every three months, starting on January 27, with sessions running from 5.30pm to 7pm.
Experts will be on hand to answer any questions and the forums are open to all cyclists and groups such as the Chippenham Wheelers.
Bill Prendergast, Travelwise manager at Wiltshire County Council, said: "It is very important for the county council to talk to cyclists. It is always useful to share knowledge and find out what cyclists think about cycling facilities in the county and what improvements they would like to see.
"Working together we can increase cycling and reduce the number of car trips, especially those under two to three miles."
There are plans to start cycle liaison panels in other towns this year, including Devizes on February 25. For information e-mail cycling@wiltshire.gov.uk, or call Kevin O'Connor at the county council on (01225) 713404.
