Dorothy Turner, aged 99, celebrated 70 years with the Mother's Union at a special party last week.
The MU held the party at her residential home in Marden Court, Calne. Anne Lewis organised the party to celebrate Mrs Turner's loyalty to the group.
"She has been an active and loyal member all that time. She is a loyal member of St Mary's Church and has maintained a lively interest in the Mother's Union," she said.
As an MU member Mrs Turner has helped in activities such as coffee mornings, raffles and trips.
"She was involved in offering support and friendship to families within the church," said Mrs Lewis.
The party was attended by 26 members of the MU including six former leaders of the group throughout Mrs Turner's membership.
