REGULARS at Lydiard Millicent's Sun Inn have managed to raise enough money to help a local charity run a volunteer taxi service for a year.
The Lydiard Link is a vital part of life for the elderly in the village, allowing them to go out shopping, get to the doctor and have a social life.
Pub manager Karl Cornell said most of the £650 had been raised by meat raffles held throughout the year thanks to butcher Michael Hart and Son in Cricklade.
Other events included a Christmas banquet and raffles with prizes donated by local companies.
"We chose the link because it is a local charity and it relies on volunteers to help local people," said Karl.
