HIGH-ACHIEVERS at Corsham School have been recognised for their hard work at an awards presentation evening.
Trophies were handed out to 249 students at the ceremony last week.
Awards for each subject taught at the school were presented and special prizes were given to those with outstanding achievements.
Deputy head Clive Richards said: "We enjoy rewarding children who have worked really hard or have made a tremendous effort."
Mr Richards said the whole school enjoys the annual prize-giving ceremony, which has been running for the last two years.
"The PTA supplied funding for the awards and trophies and we are grateful to them," he said.
"The Civic Society have also provided a special award for English and the local bookshop also donated a prize.
"I think the pupils like the pomp of everything. The hall was packed with parents and staff and it was a very special night for everyone."
About 1,250 pupils attend Corsham School in The Tynings.
