THE public are being asked to assist a Trowbridge firm with research designed to improve access and usability of touch screens for disabled visitors to museums across the west country.
Enthuse IT Ltd, which is behind the research project, specialises in working with museums and exhibitions to create audio and visual tools.
The firm aims to promote interest in local and national heritage by presenting it in a user-friendly and exciting format.
The company, which has already worked with museums in Chippenham, Lackham and on a project with Richard Briers in Bath, aims to encourage people to visit local attractions.
Enthuse IT's next initiative is to build a touch screen that wheelchair users find easy and convenient. The firm would like to hear from wheelchair users about the ideal height and layout of interactive or touch screens. Anyone interested in contributing to the research project can phone Enthuse IT on (01225) 710001.
