Ref. 27802REGULAR lessons were put on hold this week as Westbury Junior School pupils got their creative juices flowing.
The school's Creativity Week, which finishes today, has seen pupils sample 23 different activities ranging from African drumming to origami.
While many events saw the school bring in professional artists there was also an opportunity for teachers to reveal their hidden talents.
The five-day programme has seen children try out hip hop, computer animation and choir singing, among other things. Headteacher Richard Hatt said: "It has been a major, major event for us. The main aim was to get the children to experience activities they might never have come across before and we certainly achieved that.
"The children and staff all enjoyed the opportunity to get involved in different exercises."
Creativity Week proved popular with secondary school pupils in the town who were eager to get involved.
Mr Hatt said: "We've been working with Matravers and some students came down to help with the physical drama."
