SCHOOLCHILDREN are getting ready to set sail in the playground after kind donations from parents and volunteers.
Pupils decided to use cash raised by the Friends of Sambourne School to buy a pirate ship for the play area.
The ship cost the Warminster school £1,000, profits from cake evenings and a fashion show, and is due to arrive in February.
Headteacher Angela Reeves, said: "We always try to improve the environment at the school so that the children learn to have pride in their surroundings.
"The student council decides what they want to spend the money on and this time they went for a pirate ship."
The ship is being made and delivered by west Wiltshire-based company Playforce.
