J ADAMS (EA letters, Jan 12) needs reminding that it was a Tory government which broke the link between wages and pensions, robbing pensioners of more than £20 per week.
That doesn't mean I agree with current policy. I hoped Labour would restore the link.
As for geriatric care, the Rev Andrew Hake was constantly drawing attention an older population for which preparation should be made. More than 20 years ago he was ignored.
