WESTLECOT continue their bid for glory this season in two national indoor team competitions in successive days.

The combined indoor side play tomorrow in the zone final of the Egham Trophy, the national mixed inter-club championship.

Then on Monday the ladies will be hoping to stay on course to retain the National Over 60s Double Rinks title.

In the Egham Trophy, the mixed Westlecot side beat Perdiswell 89-77 in the last round and now face Avon Valley in tomorrow's zone final (10am).

Last year they went out by five shots to MidGlos at the same stage but will be seeking better fortunes this time around.

In Basingstoke last March the Westlecot Over 60s Women's Double Rinks side won the national competition a first for either the Westlecot men's or women's sections in their 20-year history.

They easily overcame the challenge of Cheshunt, 48-29 in the final.

On Monday they re-visit the Loddon Vale (Basingstoke) Club for the first time since their glorious win in the final.

Westlecot will be hoping to maintain their winning streak on the Basingstoke greens when they face King George Field (Chessington) in the last 16 a side they beat 40-36 at this same stage in 2003.
