THREE courses aimed at promoting personal welfare and wellbeing have been announced by the Swindon women's branch of the Workers' Educational Association.
On Thursday from 10am until noon, the Broadgreen Community Centre in Gladstone Street will host the first of seven weekly sessions of a free course called Preparing for Paid Work.
The association says the course will help participants identify their skills and strengths in the workplace and learn new jobseeking techniques.
On Tuesday, February 24, the first meeting of a six-week course called First Steps to Gaining Confidence will be held at Even Swindon Community Centre in Jennings Street between 10am and 12.30pm.
The total fee for the course will be £14, and subjects covered will include basic assertiveness skills and techniques for building personal confidence.
On March 6 and 20, one-day women's relaxation workshops will be held at the Health Hydro in Milton Road, costing £14 each.
Massage, aromatherapy, breathing exercises and guided visualisations will be among the techniques explored.
