IT is grossly unfair that the widows of hepatitis C victims, including Dawn Mobey, look like they will be denied compensation.
Not only have they lost their family because the NHS was not screening blood, they have also been told they do not need the compensation as much as the survivors do.
Dawn says she's only recently felt like she is getting back on her feet, even though her husband Chris died in 2001. Now a single mum, she would just like a bit of help as her children grow up.
We call on Health Secretary John Reid to reconsider his decision. It has not been thought through.
