TWO young men had a lucky escape when the car in which they were travelling flipped on to its roof in a Swindon road.
The young male driver and a 16-year-old passenger walked away uninjured from the grey Renault Clio after the accident, which occurred yesterday on Church Hill Road, Wroughton, at around 3.15pm.
PC Rus Printer, of Westlea Traffic, said: "The men were very lucky.
"This is a reminder for all motorists to take extra care and consider the cold, slippery conditions of the roads."
The Renault Clio was travelling down Church Hill towards Wroughton when it left the road and appeared to have flipped, landing on its roof some 50 metres further on.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
PC Printer said: "The men climbed out of the car windows and were unhurt, apart from minor cuts and bruises."
Two fire engines attended the scene, but were not needed.
The two men were taken to Swindon's Great Western Hospital for check-ups. Traffic was flowing normally within 30 minutes.
