CHIPPENHAM'S development squad claimed a 23-20 victory over Bournemouth to take sole possession of second place in the Dorset & Wilts Under 18 Merit Table.
Chippenham had their first points on the board after just three minutes with a try from Andy Flower.
And a penalty kicked by Gareth Wiltshire put them further ahead after 11 minutes.
Bournemouth then hit back with two unconverted tries to give them a 10-8 lead.
But Simon Drage went over to score for the home side, Wiltshire adding the conversion for a 15-10 interval lead.
Again Bournemouth came back and their prop gained his hat-trick the conversion making it 17-15 in their favour.
Wiltshire then added another penalty before quick thinking by scrum-half Danny Burke saw him go over for the score before Bournemouth kicked a late penalty.
