SWINDON Town Ladies completed the double over Yeovil Town in the South West Combination League, winning 3-2.

Town made the early running with Michelle Rich picking out Claire Moreton on the right, but she could only find the side netting.

And, when Jenny Webster went clear, the Town youngster out-paced the home defence but her cross was scrambled away.

In a rare Yeovil attack, Nicky Payne found Carla German in Town's penalty area but her shot was too high.

Town took a deserved lead in the 16th minute Tara Lofts finding Kim Reeves, who headed the ball over the Yeovil defence for Claire Moreton to score.

Yeovil came more into the game and only a well-timed challenge by Michelle Brown prevented German getting a clear shot on target.

Yeovil started the second half strongly Lofts making a crucial tackle to deny Lee Ann Morris. Then Laura Stallard came to Town's rescue when she headed clear Nicky Payne's free kick.

Town brought on Holly Burton for her first senior game and the youngster was soon in action setting up the second goal.

She played the ball wide to Louise Corcoran, whose cross was headed low into the corner of the net by Moreton.

Two minutes later Town got a third when Reeves' powerful header from Rich's corner found the net.

Five minutes from time Yeovil scored when Morris scrambled the ball into the net and almost on time the home second got a second when Morris scored from Emma Manley's cross.

n Swindon Town Ladies A side smashed 15 goals without reply past Devizes in the Under 14 s Wiltshire League clash.

Polly New was in fine form hitting four goals backed up by superb hat-tricks from Steph Lewis and Lisa Coe. Samantha Masters scored two with singles from CJ Ellis and Ann Thompson.
