SALISBURY solicitors Bonallack & Bishop have celebrated the attendance of the 1,000th client at their free legal surgery.
The surgery, which has been running since June 2001, has proved a huge success, says the firm, and has helped the public with issues relating to nearly every aspect of the law.
Partner Colin Carnegy, who runs the surgery, said: "I am absolutely delighted with the success of the surgery. It is apparent that it has met a substantial demand for quick, straightforward advice.
"It has proved particularly popular amongst Salisbury's working population who often find it difficult to get to see a solicitor if they are working Monday to Friday.
"I have to say, however, that we would not have done it without our weekly advert in the Salisbury Journal."
Bonallack & Bishop are due to move their Salisbury office in February to Rougemont House, off Manor Road, where they will run the free surgery every Tuesday between 5.15pm and 7.00pm.
The new premises will have free car parking for clients.
