Cirencester bid to spring a major upset this evening in their quest for FA Youth Cup glory.

The club's Academy entertain Crewe Alexandra in the fourth round a club famed for producing stars of the future.

Internationals such as David Platt, Rob Jones, Neil Lennon and Danny Murphy made their name at the old Gresty Road before finding fame in the top flight and Ciren come face to face with the next batch of starlets tonight.

Crewe could field up to half a dozen youth internationals with Wales under 16 keeper Owain Williams and England under 17 starlet Gary Roberts prominent along with prolific striker Kyle Wilson who was part of the England Under 18 squad that won the Lisbon Tournament in Portugal last summer.

Ciren Academy Director Steve Lowndes admits his side start as underdogs.

"We know we're up against it and Crewe's reputation precedes them," he said.

"They are likely to have five internationals with them so it's going to be very tough for us but we'll give it our best shot."

Ciren, the only college side left in the competition, reached this stage after a 2-1 win over Bradford City in which hotly-tipped forward Chris Zebrowski struck twice.

The winner of tonight's tie face a trip to Ipswich or Sunderland in round five.

Cirencester team: Alexander, Ringham, Hodge, Cole, Curtis, Sheppard, Slattery, Probert, Thorne, Zebrowski, Stanley.
