STAFF at an Abbey Meads pub will be donating their weekend wages as part of a three-day fundraising extravaganza in aid of a charity for children with cancer.
The Abbey Mead will host a range of activities from February 20 to 22. Some of the events include a sponsored 12-hour darts marathon, a charity bingo game, a sponsored leg wax for men, a disco and a quiz.
Everyone is invited to join in the fun at the pub, which is in Abbey Meads village centre, Elstree Way.
All proceeds go to Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Move-ment, CALM, which looks after families with a child with cancer or leukaemia.
Pub manager Sharon Thomp-son said: "The local CALM charity is very important to us at The Abbey Mead.
"Hopefully, the weekend will raise loads of money for them and will be a really good laugh too.
"Some of our staff are even donating their wages for the weekend to the fund."
