A LORRY and builders' equipment to a total value of £36,000 have been stolen from a building site in Bottlesford between midnight on Friday and 6am on Saturday.
WPC Nikki Burt at Pewsey police station would like to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity near the site in the centre of the village on Friday night or in the preceding days.
The thieves cut a padlock securing the site gates and stole a white Leyland tipper lorry, registration HN52MPV.
They took the £18,000 lorry, owned by JR Harrison builders from Hamptworth, near Salisbury, together with an Ifor Williams trailer worth £2,500 that was carrying a distinctive red and grey digger Takenchi mini digger valued at £13,000.
They also stole four five-gallon drums of red diesel fuel, two nail guns, a DeWalt cordless drill, a cordless saw, a petrol-powered disc cutter and a chop saw.
WPC Burt would like to hear from anyone who saw the plant being moved from the site or saw the lorry or trailer. She can be called at (01672) 562222.
