The Pewsey Information Point was officially opened last Tuesday. Run by an eight-strong team of volunteers, led by manager Judy Parry, the service was established to offer advice and information on a variety of services.
Set up in the offices of Voluntary Action Kennet in River Street, to the side of Phoenix Square, the PIP is funded by Kennet District Council and has links with most of the statutory and voluntary organisations.
Its volunteers help callers obtain advice on virtually any subject from housing to pensions, and holiday accommodation to bus timetables.
A representative from the pensions office was on hand to deal with any questions last Tuesday.
But more are volunteers are needed to provide a regular weekday service from 10am to noon. If you are interested, contact Pewsey Information Point on (01672) 564364.
