A BLUEPRINT setting out a vision for the Tidworth community for the next 30 years has just been published.
The Tidworth Community Plan has been produced from ideas put forward by the community during a series of consultations in the Tidworth area and from a questionnaire which accompanied a draft plan sent to every household last summer.
The end result of the consultations is the outline plan covering the next ten years which sets out the hopes and aspirations of the community and lays down the foundations and directions for the future.
It will lead to an action plan setting out the way the local authorities and participating organisations intend to achieve the aims and targets. The plan will be updated every four years so that everyone involved can see what progress is being made.
The plan will enable the partnership to attract funding from the government's Market and Coastal Towns Initiative and from other sources.
The partnership is made up of agencies and organisations from the voluntary sector as well as local authorities, the police, military and health departments.
The aim of the plan is to give the Tidworth area a better quality of life for people today and for generations in the future. It wants to create a stronger community bringing together civilian and military communities, to improve public services and provide facilities for the whole community.
The area covered by the plan stretches from Collingbourne Kingston, Tidcombe and Fosbury in the north to Tidworth in the south. It goes from Everleigh in the west to Chute in the east.
