STRIKER James Constable put in another all-action performance on Saturday and is fast establishing himself as the darling of Hardenhuish Park.

Not content with bagging a hat-trick at Tiverton in midweek Constable scored a goal, won a penalty and was involved in the sending off of Havant defender Alec Masson at the weekend.

He admitted the sending off of Masson in the 35th minute on Saturday was a key point in the match and said he was surprised by Masson's actions.

"He tried to move the throw five yards forward and I didn't say anything to him I just said to the linesman 'where's he going?'. The sending off was a massive boost for us and we just had to use it to our advantage and try and get a few goals up."

Constable, 19, who picked up the man of the match award, said: "I've got six goals in six games now and I'm just enjoying it. I didn't expect to be playing at this point let alone scoring like this so it's brilliant.

"I'm the youngest player in the team but I feel a part of things here now and the older players couldn't have made it easier for me really."

The striker also paid tribute to the support shown to him by the Hardenhuish faithful. He said: "It gives you a bit of a buzz to hear the fans calling your name and I just want to score goals for them."
