MALMESBURY skateboarders will have a site at the Cartmell Centre to catch air and practise their ollies, grinds and varial flips, it was revealed this week.
A skateboard park has always topped polls of the town's youths as the main new leisure activity needed in the town.
Youth worker Hayley Brown said the youth centre had bought more than £7,000 worth of portable skating ramps that it planned to put in its ground next to the school at Tetbury Hill.
She said: "Youths have constantly been saying they want a skatepark. But we have had a few problems trying to sort out storage.
"In the end, because we got funding I just decided to solve that when we get there."
North Wiltshire District Council, Malmesbury Lions and the Jack Lane Trust all donated money towards the project.
The equipment is due to arrive tomorrow but Ms Brown said it will not be put up until the half term holidays because safety checks had to be done.
The centre has bought four pieces of equipment, a quarter pipe, grind box, kicker ramp and street spin which can be set up and taken down when needed.
One of the problems in the past has been finding a location for a skatepark because nobody in the town wanted it on their doorstep.
Anybody wanting to use the new ramps will have to sign up to the club.
