THREE superb goals put paid to a spirited performance by Bemerton Heath Harlequins in this excellent encounter.
The opening exchanges saw both sides creating chances. James Domm in the 'Quins goal was quick to punch away from the eager Paddy James who had to receive lengthy treatment.
Stuart Findlay and Paul Palmer went close for Heath, but Findlay's first time strike sailed over while Palmer lifted the ball over Alan Walker-Harris only to see the 'keeper recover in time to stop the ball crossing the line.
The home side took control after this and James opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a superb chip shot over Domm who had come off his line.
Lymington's John Mulhearn was giving Andy Chainey a torrid time wide on the right. He sent over three accurate passes but each time they evaded the home strikers.
Ben Thompson replaced Sean Cummins who suffered a thigh strain and the home side now had speed down the left as well.
Keith Richardson replaced Findlay at half time but it took only a minute for the home side to increase their lead.
Thomson broke down the left and his cross found Kevin Reacord in space and he buried the ball first time.
Lymington scored their third on 65 minutes. From a left wing corner the ball found its way to the far post where Reacord volleyed home.
Heath continued to press and had plenty of possession, but it was all to no avail. Their best chances arrived late on - Lakeman's accurate cross was headed behind for a corner. Then Richardson worked a good opening and his shot beat the 'keeper but rebounded off the inside of the far post before being cleared.
Jack Slade came on for the final few minutes to make his senior debut replacing Ian Chalk who had worked hard throughout.
