THE £5,000 cash on offer to anyone who can prove Linda Razzell is still alive has been slammed as sick by those closest to the missing Highworth mother of four.
Linda's estranged husband Glyn was jailed for life for her murder, but his girlfriend has launched a website to drum up support in a bid to secure his release.
She has offered the cash to anyone who knows Linda's whereabouts.
Rachel Smith's website www.glynrazzell.org.uk explains the intricacies of last year's murder trail at which her boyfriend was unanimously found guilty and urges people to look at the evidence.
Linda's boyfriend, Greg Worrall, of Windrush, Highworth, said: "I think it's a sick attempt to pervert the course of justice.
"I agree the best way would be to find Linda but that's not going to happen and this is just an attempt to bring doubt into people's minds."
Linda's friend Jan Haylett, of Pentylands Close, Highworth, said: "The night their mother dis-appeared will haunt me forever, watching their torment as they waited for her return.
"Does she (Ms Smith) really think a mother as devout as Linda would turn her back on her beloved children?
"She has neither listened to detail nor opened her eyes to the truth. She obviously knows nothing or does she? I cannot believe she is so nave."
But Ms Smith, 24, who lives with her parents in Marlborough, says she is convinced Linda, a part-time learning support assistant at Swindon College, is still alive.
Linda's body has never been found and the trial was the first time Wilt-shire police had brought a murder case to court without a body.
Ms Smith said: "I would like people to see all the evidence before they make their minds up. I don't think I am clutching at straws all I want to do is put the facts across and for the truth to come out."
Linda vanished after parking her red Ford Escort in Alvescot Road, Old Walcot, on the morning of March 19, 2002.
Detective Chief Ins-pector Paul Granger, who led the investigation into her disappearance, said: "We have given up hope of finding her alive, but have not given up hope of finding her body."
Razzell, 44, a redundant investment market manager with Zurich Financial Services, has served 76 days as a Category A prisoner at Bristol's Horfield prison since his conviction.
