Last minute panics melted away as Cherhill theatre group performed the Ice Queen pantomime to a full house.
The panto was held on three consecutive nights in the village hall and started on Thursday. An additional matinee performance was held on Saturday.
The amateur actors will take to the stage again tonight and there will be shows tomorrow and Saturday night, as well as Saturday afternoon.
Speaking after the opening night, producer Shauna Bodman said: "Afterwards there was a mixture of feeling ecstatic and relief. It was a full house and all the tickets were sold out for the next night.
"It went very well. It was excellent."
Tickets are available from Geraldine Coxwell on (01249) 816727.
