RUSKIN Junior School pupil George Taylor's artistic efforts have earned the Prospect Hospice more than £1,000.
Eight-year-old George won a competition to design a Christmas card for the Designer Outlet Village in Swindon and ended up helping to raise £1,080 for the hospice.
His cards formed part of a pack of 14 including six by primary schoolchildren and others by professional artists sold to shoppers in the run-up to Christmas. George also won £500 for Ruskin Junior School in Stratton. Centre manager Franco Muccini said: "Shoppers seemed to like the idea of buying cards that had such local connections. We hope the money will help the hospice in its work."
The donation is proceeds from the card sales and contributions from Nationwide building society and the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Village.
