ENTRIES are being sought for a swimathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Thousands of swimmers will be diving in to hundreds of pools across the country to raise money for Macmillan Nurses.
In Swindon the Link Centre is taking part and will be open from March 13 to March 21.
The campaign has been backed by Hollyoaks stars Ali Bastian and Jodie Albert, as well as former Olympic gold medallist Duncan Goodhew.
The aim is to get 30,000 people swimming in 500 swimming pools, and the target is to raise £2.5m.
There are a range of challenges including the swimathon 5,000m, or 200 lengths of a 25m pool the half swimathon, and the team swimathon, which splits the distance between up to five people. Alternatively, participants can just swim for as long as they can.
Eighty-five per cent of money goes to Macmillan and 15 per cent will go to the Swimathon Foundation, which helps swimming pools get involved with charity work.
