LITTLE Ryan Odey found himself in hot water after accidentally leaving his school book bag on the bus.
The seven-year-old only realised the navy blue nylon bag was missing when he got off the 1a service from Covingham Hen to Stratton Retail Park on Wednesday, January 14 after leaving Colebrook School that afternoon.
His mum Sarah, 28, buttonholed the driver of the next bus and got him to radio ahead, but the bag was already missing. She checked with Thamesdown Transport and the police, but it was not handed in.
Now she is asking for anyone on the bus at 3.35pm, who saw or might have picked up the bag to put the smile back on her son's face by letting her know.
"He was very worried," said Mrs Odey, of Winchester Close.
"All it had inside was his reading book, his contact book, a water bottle and some pieces of paper with his work on it.
"There is nothing valuable and there is no reason why anyone would want to keep it."
The book, "Mind the Bedbugs Don't Bite," carries the name of the school in Towcester Road, Coleview.
