Cast your minds ahead of the snow and start thinking of summer.
The Splash play scheme is a project which entertains 10-16-year-olds during the summer holidays. To make the programme as varied and inclusive as possible, the project is looking for donations from companies, individuals and organisations.
Throughout the summer activities, such as drama, circus skills, music, dance and animation workshops, run in Swindon and Wiltshire for more than 45,000 youngsters.
A discount travel scheme is provided, helping as many people as possible to take part. Splash is a registered charity and this year aims to raise £168,849 to fund the scheme. Nearly £42,000 has already been secured.
Splash co-ordinator Tracey Watts said: "Without donations from individuals and businesses, this scheme wouldn't be possible. Young people benefit enormously from Splash and the wide range of activities means there is something for everyone."
