CHIPPENHAM NEWS: TRADE justice campaigners in Neston are organising a sponsored event with a difference on Friday they are not asking for money.

Instead they are asking those who attend their Unfair Country Sports Evening to write letters to Tony Blair urging him to secure fairer trading rules for poorer countries.

The event, which is from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Neston Memorial Hall, is organised as part of the international Trade Justice Campaign.

Organiser Trish Fallows said: "You can ride our fun horses without any riding skill. You can reel in the fish, but some need more pulling in than others, or you can hit the target in our shooting event. You won't need to be able to swim to paddle in our canoeing event, you just need three friends to share your canoe.

"Unfair rules mean even you can win, or lose. Events are free but you need a sponsor. You can write on the night and sample letters are provided. We hope our letters for trade justice will put pressure on those who write the rules and make sure they are written with the needs of the world's poorest communities in mind."
