Books have been brought to life at Westbury Infants School this week as pupils got to act out their favourite stories.
The school's book week reaches its climax today when all 219 pupils and their teachers will dress up as book characters for a special assembly.
The four- to seven-year-olds have been treated to activities ranging from visiting authors to a pyjama party. The programme got under way on Monday when pupils discussed books they had enjoyed reading.
Children's poet and writer Judy Hindley made a guest appearance on Tuesday when she visited each class and read out some of her own stories. The children then acted out what they had heard and bought signed copies of the books.
More drama followed on Wednesday before storyteller Josie Felce entertained pupils with some children's classics. A few hours later the pupils were back at school in their pyjamas for a bedtime story session.
Enrichment group teacher Trish Menhen-eott said: "The children really love it. It brings the books to life for them, especially when they have the opportunity to see the person who has written them."
