BURGLARS stole £7,000 of equipment from a Melksham company. The thieves took disc cutters and chainsaws after breaking into Hussey and Greenhow Plant Ltd between 5pm on Thursday and 8am the following morning.
Owner David Hussey said: "This sort of stuff gets nicked all the time, not just from us.
"There are always people who will buy this sort of stuff.
"You put extra fences and systems in to combat it but the cleverer you get the cleverer they get."
The burglars got into the rear yard of a neighbouring property and cut a hole in a fence through to the back yard of Hussey and Greenhow.
They took a corrugated panel off the back of the building and got into a storage area.
Altogether they took 16 items, most of them Stihl disc cutters and chainsaws.
Mr Hussey said: "I think they will be straight up the motorway to sell it out of the area."
