BUS drivers in Wiltshire are to be given training to learn how to deal with unruly pupils.
Wiltshire County Council has set up training sessions to ensure that drivers feel well-equipped to deal with any incidents.
Judi Gardner, customer service officer in Wiltshire County Council's passenger transport unit, said: "Children misbehaving on school buses can lead to accidents, and recent incidents in other counties have given drivers cause for concern."
Last year's training scheme, which ran at County Hall, Trowbridge, proved popular with drivers and the council has decided to extend the scheme into other parts of the county.
Training includes evacuation procedures and management of both minor and serious incidents. The sessions for school bus and coach drivers will run at County Hall on February 26 and 27, and at the town hall in Chippenham on March 1 and 2.
