A FIVE-star performance from Bradford Town midfielder Adam Smith helped his side to a comfortable 10-0 home victory over Chiseldon Castrol on Saturday.

Smith caused the visitors problems all afternoon from his right wing back role and his five goals were just reward for his performance.

Manager Mark Hodkinson said the match was won in the middle of the park.

He said: "Adam was awesome for us but I think the main reason for the win was our midfield three.

"Nathan Gant, Pete Martin and Charlie Powell all battled in the middle and proved dominant.

"It is the first time we have played with the three playing next to each other for a while and it really worked well."

Bradford's other goalscorers were Robbie Simmons, 2, Powell, Mark Gerrish and Steve Wickens as Bradford moved up to fourth place in the table.

"I have got my strongest side now," said Hodkinson.

"I have the 13 or 14 players that I want to pick from and their confidence is unbelievable.

"They are working really hard for each other and the team spirit is brilliant.

"We just have to keep concentrating and see where that gets us."

Prolific striker Tom Pang, who has already hit 30 goals in 18 appearances this season, did not get among the goals on Saturday but Hodkinson praised his contribution.

He said: "That was probably one of Tom's best games of the season.

"I have had a bit of a dig at him in recent weeks about his work rate but on Saturday he never stopped running. He set up a lot of the goals and was very unselfish.

"I think Salisbury are showing a bit of interest in him at the moment but he should only really move to a club in the Dr Martens premier."

Bradford travel to Malmesbury Vics tomorrow.
