TROWBRIDGE Town go into tomorrow's top-of-the-table clash at Stratton with a number of injury concerns but manager Neil Kirkpatrick believes all the pressure will be on their opponents.

Stratton have a two point advantage over Trowbridge at the top of the Wiltshire league but with four games in hand Kirkpatrick knows his side are in the driving seat.

Dave Mitchell is unavailable while Waleed Bakali (groin), Gavin Eyre (shin), Dave Percival (back) and Gordon Saunderson (calf) are all struggling with injury.

"Stratton have got to beat us," said Kirkpatrick. "For them it is vital but for us it is not the be all and end all.

"We have got 16 games left and if we win 13 then Stratton could catch us on goal difference.

"I don't care who we beat as long as we get the points along the way.

"Obviously beating them would make life an awful lot easier for us but it is only three points.

"If our injured players don't make it then we will miss it but we have got the squad to cope with it. That is the joy of having a big squad."

Trowbridge kept the pressure on at the top of the table on Saturday with a 3-0 win at home to Wroughton.

After a goalless first half the hosts turned up the heat and strikes from Andy Bloodworth, Mike Little and Guy Rowley sealed the three points.

Kirkpatrick praised the patience of his side.

He said: "We gradually wore them down and kept possession for long periods of the match.

"Wroughton are a very good side and we knew we would have to be patient and wear them down.

"In the end we could have won by five or six. Their keeper made some outstanding saves and kept them in it."

Trowbridge travel to Stratton tomorrow and a coach will be leaving the Mash Tun at 12 noon.
