MELKSHAM'S cheeky bid to prise midfielder Nathan Perkins from neighbours Devizes has been rebuked by Nursteed Road boss Dave Hopkins.

Devizes entertain Barnstaple in the second round of the Les Phillips Cup tomorrow and Hopkins insists Perkins is going nowhere.

The influential star will be joined by returning strikers Justin Lisle and Dave Lloyd.

Melksham, who made the approach for Perkins earlier this week, travel to Exmouth in the Premier Division.
