STEVE WHITE'S reborn Chippenham Town side bid for their fifth straight win when Newport County come to Wiltshire tomorrow.
A 4-0 win over the Welshmen in the Dr Martens Cup at the start of the month sparked the Bluebirds' rejuvenation and they start as favourites, despite trailing the visitors by 12 places and the same number of points in the Premier Division.
Newport were not at full strength on that evening though, and White warns against complacency despite the fans' new-found confidence.
He said: "Supposedly Newport were missing five or six of their best players that night, but those players were back to face Worcester a couple of days later and they lost 4-0 again so read into that what you will.
"We are on a good run at the moment and some people are expecting us to take Newport to the cleaners.
"But Newport are a good away side, they've won seven away from home this season.
"We will be going for it but we have to show Newport respect and make sure we don't get caught out."
Chippenham earned their first home win of the campaign at the 13th attempt with a 3-0 win over Havant last Saturday.
The only change in the squad this week could be the introduction of goalkeeping back up.
Australian-born Eric Barratt, 20, has signed from Gloucester and trained for the first time last night.
He is expected to act as cover for Mark Hervin in the absence of long-term knee injury victim Pat Mountain.
White said: "The boy is 6'2" and has been recommended to me by my scout Sean Hughes.
"He is still young but gives us back up and will learn from working with Mark Hervin."
Striker Martin Paul should sit alongside Barratt on the bench against his former club after another approach from Bath City was turned down this week.
