MOTHER Megan Mahon said she would leave Malmesbury rather then have her three-year-old daughter exposed to the British National Party menace if the extreme-right wing party came to power.
Mother and daughter turned out with other protesters to the Three Cups Pub on Sunday to protest against a BNP meeting due to be held there.
That meeting was rearranged to another venue at the last minute because of the protest but Ms Mahon said she wanted prevent the BNP getting a foothold in power.
She said: "I do not want people with the tendencies the BNP has, to have influence over my child.
"If the BNP were to get in on the town council the atmosphere in Malmesbury would change.
Wiltshire BNP chairman Mike Howseman said the meeting had gone very well and there had been strong interest to hear their policies.
He said his party had no links with neo-nazi factions or violence, and were trying to convince people of their arguments, such as voluntary repatriation of immigrants, and the introduction of corporal and capital punishment, through the democratic process.
