AMESBURY Town overcame a stuttering start to see off struggling Brading Town, with two stunning strikes from Lee Bartlett and a Neil Sole header.
Brading were ahead after 16 minutes when Sprooles took advantage of a mistake by Gareth Horner, but Bartlett's 40-yard cross-shot caught out home 'keeper Bradley for the equaliser on 41 minutes.
Sprooles hit the bar before half time and Andrew Parnaby did the same for the Blues soon after the break, before Bartlett fired in a brilliant opportunistic strike similar to his first.
Sole put the result beyond doubt when he nodded in Steve Reeves' cross, but the game ended on a sour note when Reeves was dismissed late on for two yellow cards.
Amesbury manager Nick Horner said: "We were missing Lee Cunningham, so I gave Lee Bartlett a chance up front because he used to play alongside Robbie Matthews when he was younger, and it worked. Also, Danny Harrison had work commitments but Andy Jackson did well in goal.
"The first half was very poor and I gave them a rollicking at half time but in the second half we did enough."
