Pensioners campaigning for fairer council tax bills will decide how to take their fight to the Government today. A 150-strong group quizzed tax bosses last month but left fearing the meeting had been hijacked by points-scoring councillors.
Now protesters are bypassing civic leaders and planning a trip to lobby MPs in London later this month.
Warminster town councillor Les Rose said: "Some people felt the protest meeting held at the Assembly Rooms last month was hijacked by councillors.
"On Friday it will just be the people affected by council tax rises sorting out what steps they need to take."
The protesters are hoping to take two coachloads of pensioners to the Houses of Parliament with help from Westbury MP Andrew Murrison.
Today's meeting will focus on drawing up plans for the London protest and begins at 10am at Dewey House.
