OSCAR glory put one Wiltshire man in the spotlight this week. Peter King, from Holt, was awarded one of the famous golden statues for his work on Lord Of The Rings: Return of the King.
Mr King's company, Owen, King and Turner, designed and made the 1,000 wigs used in the epic production, winning the best make-up Oscar.
Mr King spent 18 months, along with partners Richard Taylor and Peter Owen, in New Zealand, working on the film.
The final instalment of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy picked up a stunning 11 Oscars at the glittering awards bash on Sunday.
Mr King and his wife, Sarah Swords, were both at the ceremony at the weekend.
