ORGANISERS of Warminster Shopmobility are calling for extra volunteers to come forward and help the town's disabled and elderly population.
Charity workers spend Mondays and Fridays assisting wheelchair-bound shoppers in Warminster.
But organisers of the charity need more people to volunteer to give the current helpers a well-deserved break.
John Pomeroy at Warminster Shopmobility, said: "It means the world to disabled and elderly people just to get out in town once in a while.
"Last week we had an elderly gentleman who had not been outside properly for two years but a volunteer was able to take him out in his wheelchair and he had a great time.
"But we desperately need more volunteers to allow our present helpers to have a break once in a while. It need only be half-an-hour on a Monday or Friday and it will mean such a lot."
