A BRADFORD ON AVON pub will be transformed into a casino tomorrow night for a double fundraising event.
The Riverside Inn is bringing in two roulette wheels and a blackjack table for a charity evening. Landlord Peter Eveleigh is confident of a big turn out and is also laying on a buffet and a disco.
Tomorrow marks the 11th anniversary of the death of Bradford rugby player Phil Evans, who suffered a heart attack playing rugby for Bournemouth University.
Half of the money raised will go towards the British Heart Foundation. The rest of the cash will go towards the pub's Funk at the Pump stage at this summer's Village Pump festival.
Mr Eveleigh said: "We are looking for some really good headliners this year and need to raise the money to book them. The casino has generated quite a lot of interest already and we are going to have a great evening."
The pub will be holding joint fundraising events on the first weekend of each month until July. Next month's event will also be raising money for Peaches Amor's wheelchair appeal, featured in the Wiltshire Times.
